Waddesdon Manor
Waddesdon Manor (The Rothschild Collection) is a National Trust house in Buckinghamshire, created by Baron Ferdinand de Rothschild in the 1870s as a setting for his outstanding collection of works of art and to entertain the fashionable world. It combines the highest quality French furniture, porcelain, textiles and 18th-century decorative arts with Renaissance treasures, magnificent English portraits and Dutch Old Masters. It has one of the finest Victorian gardens in Britain, famous for its recreations of flamboyant 19th-century carpet bedding schemes, its sculpture collection and a fully-functioning Aviary.
